[Health Chosun] research shows that the fewer patients have a fear of cancer recurrence, the lower mortality is.

A research team led by Prof. Juhee Cho, Cancer Education Center; Prof. Seok Jin Kim, Department of Hematology and Oncology; Prof. Danbee Kang, Center for Clinical Epidemiology at Samsung Medical Center (Seoul) conducted research towards 467 lymphoma patients between February 2012 and March 2017. The study is aimed to analyze an association between a fear of cancer recurrence and an actual mortality rate.

This study is recognized because it is first to unveil the association between a fear of cancer recurrence and an actual mortality rate. The research result was published in the latest issue of Psycho-oncology, one of the top international journal in this field.
