The knowledge and expertise in clinical research are now requires in various sectors such as in health supplements, medical drugs, and medical device developments. Our department provides the comprehensive and systemic course program that covers overall clinical research process; research purpose, research background, research methodology, inclusion/exclusion criteria of research participants, statistics, result analysis/application and ethical considerations in conducting clinical research. Through such comprehensive learning on clinical research conduct, we aim to train and educate our students to be the clinical research professionals to implement the objective and precise clinical result with research cost/time-saving strategies.
Our department is designed to satisfy the needs of CRA (Clinical Research Associate) from CRO(Contract Research Organization), CRC(Clinical Research Coordinator) as well as government officials from clinical research related departments.
While current domestic medical industry conducts diversified clinical research in cooperation with various sectors; medicine, pharmacy, biology, and engineering, there are only workshops or short term courses to educate necessary knowledge to conduct clinical research. Moreover, considering clinical research requires enormous time and investment, and the result can directly be applied to the human being, it is critical that the result from the clinical research must be precise and objective while its overall process should be efficiently and economically conducted.
In order to achieve efficient clinical research, many issues should be addressed from the designing stage of clinical research such as; detailed research purpose, research background, research methodology, inclusion/exclusion criteria of research participants, statistics, result analysis/application and ethical considerations in conducting clinical research.
Our department will continually endeavor to contribute promoting the public health and improving clinical research education level through educating clinical research professionals in designing and evaluating clinical research.
