The 60th Digital Healthcare Forum

The 6th Digital Healthcare Forum was held on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

Prof. Mira Kang from Samsung Medical Center gave a lecture on ‘Medical Terminology for Precision Medicine and Data standardization’ at the Forum.

Prof. Kang explained regarding SNOMED CT, a popular standard for clinical medical terminology, easily and understandably.

Samsung Medical Center applied the SNOMED CT on interface terminology and built a medical database system to search efficiently based on medical terminology.

SNOMED CT provided a mapping system with ICD code and other terminology standards.

Prof. Kang described a future that can conduct research exchange more efficiently with other hospitals or countries through this mapping system.
