Sumi Kee (PhD course student, Dept of Health Sciences & Technology) received "Excellent Poster Award" from 2018 International concerence of Korean Society for Molecular and Celluar Biology (held on Sept 17 to 19, 2018).
■ Topic: The diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2 (DGAT2)-dependent primary cilia assembly is essential for differentiation of pre-adipocyte. ■ Contents: I investigated the relationship between primary cilia and DGAT2 in adipocyte differentiation. To identify target molecules regulated by DGAT2-mediated primary cilia assembly, I have performed transcriptomic analysis with Dgat2-depleted 3T3-L1 cells. The results show that depletion of Dgat2 inhibits G1-to-S phase transition by up-regulation of CDK inhibitors. Therefore, I suggest that DGAT2 acts on assembly of primary cilia by regulating cell cycle progression in pre-adipocyte.
