The 3rd SAIHST Job Fair

of the Department of Medical Devices Management and Research

Hosted by SAIHST, the 3rd SAIHST Job Fair of the Department of Medical Devices Management and Research was held at Samsung Medical Center Cancer Center on August 25, 2017.
This job fair was to provide students of Department of Medical Devices Management and Research to find positions in related companies after their graduations.

This program started with introductory sessions for all participating companies followed by individual interviews providing all related opening positions in companies.
Among participating companies, there were ; Synex Consulting Ltd, the professional service firm that helps healthcare companies with market access issues, Osstem Implant Co.Ltd., the manufacture/sales company for dental implant and dentistry software.
In addition, total of eight companies that are related to medical device industry participated this event, including; Medtronics Co.Ltd, Samsung Medison Co.Ltd, Korea Health Industry Development Institute.

The department director Professor Kyu-Sung Lee addressed that, “department of Medical Device and Management & Research aims to provide education to train convergent professional that medical industry needed. Through professional training courses, we focus to have experts with global insights. Every year, we try to connect with leading medical device companies with our graduates, and provide chances to work at related companies.

Like such efforts as providing job fair every year, the department is expanded the program to focus overall process from the development to the actual application through multidisciplinary and field centered courses such as : “Global Approval and Accreditation of Medical Devices”, “Economic Evaluation of Medical Devices” and “Technology Management of Medical Devices”. Our department aims to train and educate convergent practical professionals in order to contribute Korea to be the global leading country in this medical device sector.

In addition to various courses, this department is concurrently providing on-site training course with Samsung Medical Center for students to experience hospital environment. Such multidisciplinary education program will surly help students’ competitiveness and we will continue to have such systematized curriculum more in future.
