Main research goal of Biomedical Informatics Lab is how to handle biomedical data themselves. To achieve this goal, we collect, integrate, and store the health-related data based on International Standards; and analyze the integrated healthcare data using machine learning techniques. The biomedical data includes clinical data in hospitals, genomic data, patient-generated health data (PGHD), social determinants of health (SDOH), and other health-related data. We also develop the platform for storing and analyzing the biomedical data; the machine learning algorithms for analyzing them to improve the quality of healthcare; and de-identification methods for protecting the patients’ privacy.
